UC|CSU Module Development Team Awardees

The UC|CSU Collaborative for Neuroscience, Diversity, and Learning is excited to announce the 2024 Module Development Team Awardees!

In February 2024, the UC|CSU Collaborative opened an request for proposals (RFP) to UC and CSU interdisciplinary faculty teams to develop modules that will be hosted on our new Learning Management System (LMS), Arraya. The RFP outlined 6 areas of focus aligned with the curriculum map developed for the LMS, soliciting proposals on topics from domains of whole-child development and educator professional knowledge, with priority was also given for proposals focused on inclusive practices to support diverse learners.

The awardees include:

  • Peer Interactions in context: What Educators Need to Know About Fostering Positive Peer Relations and Friendships for Diverse Students — Bryan Thornton, Negin Ghavami, Sandra Graham
  • Assistive Technology and Inclusionary Practices: An Integrative Approach for Students with Complex Communication Needs — Kai Greene, Elizabeth Peña, Sara Palmer, Yvette Garcia
  • Project RECLAIM (Reinforce Early Childhood Learning with Artificial Intelligence Module) — Conrad Oh-Young, Sharon Tettegah, Mika Carlin, Jennifer Buchter
  • Equity-Minded Paraprofessional Training Modules — Bryan Thornton, Amy Hanreddy, Caitlin Solone, James Koontz
  • UDL + Math: Supporting Student Thinking in California Mathematics Classrooms — Rachel Lambert, Nicholas Johnson

The modules that each team creates will be made available on Arraya in Fall 2024.
