UC|CSU Collaborative at the California Dyslexia Initiative June Conference

See the work of the UC|CSU Collaborative for Neuroscience, Diversity, and Learning presented by members at the California Dyslexia Initiative June Conference!
This two-day statewide meeting is designed for educators, specialists, and advocates. It is intended to equip teachers, administrators, clinicians, and parents with knowledge and tools to teach reading, support individuals at risk for and/or with dyslexia, gain actionable insights, contribute to dyslexia awareness and support in education, and ensure equitable access to education for all.
The virtual meeting will kick off with a key note address from Maryanne Wolf, Ed.D., June 11, titled “Lessons for all Children from Research on Dyslexia and the Reading Brain”.
Additional presentations will include:
- Executive Functions: How They Develop and Strategies for Promoting Growth in the Classroom, Jennie Grammer, Ph.D.
- Cognitive Development in the Classroom: Memory, Attention, and Metacognition, Jennie Grammer, Ph.D.
- Self-Regulation: Linking Cognition and Emotion, Jennie Grammer, Ph.D.
- Dyslexia Screening and Assessment: A Resource Tool for Educators, Laura Rhinehart, Ph.D, and Sue Sears, Ph.D.
Recorded sessions will be available for viewing 30 days following the conference.
